Frank Stapleton, CCOO

Frank Stapleton, Chief Clinical Operations Officer, has been with Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center (CVRMC) since 2002. During his tenure at CVRMC, he has recruited independent and employed specialty physicians to ensure the community would have access to specialized care at home. He has overseen the establishment and management of the hospital-owned clinics, assuring federal and state regulatory compliance.
Mr. Stapleton converted all CVRMC Primary Clinics to provider-based Rural Health Clinics, resulting in a substantial increase in annual net revenue and expanded Primary, Specialty, and ancillary care services. He is currently responsible for 7 provider-based Rural Health Clinics encompassing 15 specialties, including Pediatrics, Primary Care, General Surgery, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Podiatry, Esthetics, a Chronic Care Management Program, and a multi-specialty independent provider clinic with 7 specialties. These efforts have generated a referral base back to the hospital and have significantly improved retention of services locally while giving patients the ability to receive care close to home within the communities served by CVRMC.
Mr. Stapleton assists several hospitals throughout Arizona in a consulting capacity for Rural Health program development. He also directs Centralized Business Office revenue cycle improvement projects, oversees the NHSC and State Loan Repayment Programs, the Ambulatory EMR Program, and developed a wound clinic program. Mr. Stapleton is a Registered Nurse, is very involved in the community, and enjoys time with family, hunting, fishing, archery, and softball.
