NICK RENON
Trustee
Nick Renon served over 32 years as a professional Firefighter, Paramedic, and Fire Chief in the Globe-Miami area. A lifelong Globe resident, Nick raised his two daughters here and remains deeply committed to the growth and well-being of the community he calls home.
JUDY BESSEE
Board Chair
Judy is a retired Accounting Manager with Freeport McMoran, one of the top employer’s within the Globe-Miami area. Judy worked for Freeport for over 30 years. She raised 2 children within the region with her husband Robert. Judy states that she is “interested in representing what is best for Freeport Employees and Retirees within our local healthcare system.”

JACK BRADFORD
Vice Chair
Jack has been in mining for 30 years and operates a local consulting company.Ā He is originally from Globe leaving in 1980 and returning after attending Phoenix College and graduating from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science degree in geology.Ā Jack and his wife, Carol enjoy being back in Globe and appreciate living in the community they grew up in.Ā It is a privilege to be a part of the board and help with making the regional health care system in the Globe-Miami area a better place to live and work.

ROBERT HOLLIS
Treasurer
Bob Hollis is a life-long resident of the region and has operated several businesses since 1982. He graduated from Globe High School in 1979 and graduated from Mesa Community College in 1982 with an AAS in Management and Supervision. He and his wife raised two children locally. “I am honored to be on the Board, representing the community, and making a difference in the quality and service of our hospital.”

PAULA HORN
Secretary
Paula is an accomplished public health professional with over 20 years of experience in the field. As the Deputy Director of Gila County Health and Emergency Management, she has been pivotal in leading the department’s strategic direction, ensuring high quality public health services, and addressing health disparities for underserved populations.

JENDEAN SARTAIN
Trustee
Jendean is a Registered Nurse and retired from the Gila County Division of Health and Community Services. She is a member of various committees throughout Gila County. With her late husband Mike, she raised her daughter Hannah. Jendean has served on the board since 2004 and is a former Chairman. “I hope that together, we, the community, can continue to build a quality healthcare system for our region.”

FERNANDO SHIPLEY
Trustee
Fernando is a local State Farm Insurance Agent who has served as Treasurer, Secretary, Vice-Chairman, and Chairman on the Board. He is very active in the community and is a presence in multiple community organizations. Fernando is married to Denise, and together that have three children, who are also active in community services. Fernando has served on the board since 2004 and is “focused on providing the best possible healthcare to our community.”

EDWARD C. CARPENTER
Trustee
Ed is a retired Market President of Great Western Bank. He is also a member of the Globe/Miami Region Chamber of Commerce, Honorary Member of the Globe Rotary Club, and a member of the Gila Pinal Workforce Investment Board. Ed and his wife Carol have four children and seven grandchildren. Ed has served on the board since 2006 and states that “It’s a privilege to serve on the Board and promote quality healthcare for our region.”

ALAN OSUMI, MD
Trustee
Dr. Osumi is the Vice Chief of Staff for CVRMC. He serves on the Committee of Governance for the American Hospital Association and has a Neuroradiology Fellowship from Duke University. He has been in this community since 2014 and has served on the Board since 2015. “I am very focused on each patient and believe I should treat people the way I would want my family to be treated.”

JODY DAGGETT, MD
Chief of Medical Staff (Ex-Officio)
Dr. Daggett has lived and worked within the region for more than 40 years. He graduated from the University of Arizona – College of Medicine in 1978. “I’ve worked at dozens of hospitals and CVRMC is as good as any place,” after a pause he continued, “better than any place.”

NEAL JENSEN
CVRMC CEO (Ex-Officio)
Neal has been the CEO of Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center since 2008. Previously he served 10 years as the Chief Financial Officer for CVRMC. Neal has a steadfast resolve for the health and wellness of the communities he is committed to serve. Family and church are the most important aspects of his life. He, along with his wife Kathie, have made Globe-Miami their home and have raised three children here, who are all currently attending universities in the Southwest.
