General Surgery

Dr. Ngocthuy “Thuy” Hughes is a board-certified, minimally invasive general surgeon with more than 18 years of experience caring for patients across all aspects of general surgery.

She completed her general surgery residency at Sun Coast Hospital, an affiliate of Nova Southeastern University in Florida. She then went on to complete a fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, Oregon.

Dr. Hughes brings extensive surgical experience and a strong commitment to providing the latest advanced care to the Globe-Miami and eastern Arizona communities.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Mark, and their son, Lucas, a college golfer. She also loves spending time with her two mini dachshunds. Dr. Hughes is humbled and grateful to be part of such a caring team and community.
