What to expect: The expectant mother may find it helpful to have the comfort and support of close family members during labor and delivery. Two visitors are allowed in the room during delivery of the baby. (Due to COVID-19, we are allowing only one visitor to remain with the patient throughout the stay.) All other family will be asked to wait in the comfortable family waiting room. At the present time, we are not allowing anyone under the age of 18 to visit.
Due to other expectant mothers’ privacy and comfort, only four visitors will be allowed in the room at a time. This will ensure all patients and their families have a comfortable, quiet stay.
What to bring: Although the CV Family Birth Center has most of the things you will need for delivery, you should bring certain items to help you be more comfortable. These would include lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, toothpaste, soft pillows, camera, clothing to go home in, clothes and blankets for baby’s first photo, and an outfit for baby to go home in, snacks and/or change for the vending machines for your support person and family members, and an infant car seat. Visitors and family members may also purchase meals in the hospital cafeteria during their normal serving hours.
