Sleep Studies at Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center
A good night’s sleep is essential to our health, well-being and safety. Over one-third of our entire life is spent sleeping. The quality of our sleep affects the quality of our lives. The National Commission on Sleep Disorders Research estimates that 40 million Americans are chronically ill with sleep disorders and that an additional 20-30 million experience intermittent sleep related problems.
Ninety-five percent of people with sleep disorders remain undiagnosed. The Sleep Center at Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center is open to help you get a restful night’s sleep. The Sleep Center is also ACHC (Accreditation Commission for Health Care) certified. Testing and the “Sleep Assessment and Epworth Scale” will measure whether you might be a candidate for a sleep study.
CVRMC also offers complete testing for the diagnosis of Obstructive Sleep Apnea as well as many other sleep disorders. All sleep studies will be performed by our clinical staff and will be scored by a Registered Polysomnography Technologist. Final review and interpretation will be performed by a Board Certified Sleep Specialist.
There are a number of treatment options available once sleep apnea has been diagnosed. Successful treatment can prevent or reverse potential life-threatening complications and improve the quality of your life. You will need a signed doctor’s order, any relevant doctor’s notes, and preferably the “Sleep Assessment and Epworth Scale.”
Please contact the Cardiopulmonary Department Manager, at 928-402-1290 for more information regarding scheduling and testing.
