Cobre Valley’s Wound & Hyperbaric Center specializes in the treatment of chronic wounds. As a comprehensive wound care center, we provide evaluation, individualized treatment plans, and compassionate support for each patient.

Our team of health professionals has specialized training in advanced wound care and hyperbaric medicine. We provide a full range of comprehensive services, including:

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is an effective treatment for many types of chronic, non-healing wounds. This non-invasive, painless approach infuses the bloodstream and tissues with high levels of oxygen, enhancing the body’s ability to heal.

During HBO therapy, you breathe 100% pure oxygen while inside a clear, pressurized chamber. This process enables your blood to carry much more oxygen to the tissues, promoting new tissue and blood vessel growth. The high oxygen level also helps fight infections caused by a variety of bacteria and promotes spontaneous healing.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is performed in a special hyperbaric chamber in which the air can be compressed to a pressure greater than normal. During treatment, you may watch TV or a movie, rest, or listen to music while you breathe normally.

The course of treatment varies by diagnosis, but patients typically receive HBO therapy five days a week for approximately four to six weeks. One treatment takes about two hours and is quite comfortable for most patients.

The Wound Center of Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center is providing the necessary care to help our patients heal from chronic wounds.

We specialize in diabetic foot ulcers, venous and arterial leg and foot ulcers, traumatic injuries, skin tears, minor burns, acute wounds, non-healing, and problematic wounds.
